On Viking undercounter beverage centers with an ice maker, such as the VURI1401D, DURI140D and DFRI1401D, two blinks, a pause and three blinks on the diagnostic LED mean both the defrost thermistor and the evaporator thermistor are out of range. With both sensors off, the control has little to work with, so cooling and ice making may be unreliable or stop.
1. Check power and the temperature setting. 2. Unplug the unit for one minute and restart it. 3. Keep the door closed. 4. Move ice or drinks you need to keep cold. 5. If the pattern returns, call us. Do not remove the grille cover.
They may share a connector or the control may be reading both wrongly. That is why we test the wiring and the board as well as the sensors.
It may be erratic. Check drink temperatures and move items you cannot risk. Two blinks, a pause, then three blinks is the pattern, so watch a few cycles to be sure.
