On the Viking 3 Series second-generation French-door refrigerator RVFFR336SS, the High Temp Error icon lights, an alarm sounds, and the set temperature alternates with the highest temperature reached. It happens when the freezer reaches 28F or higher and does not drop below 16F within 12 hours, after the first 72 hours. A power failure is the common cause. Alarm Off silences it.
1. Close the freezer door and check the seal. 2. Press Alarm Off. 3. Do not add warm food. 4. Check that the unit has power and the plug is firm. 5. Wait and check if the temperature drops below 16F within 3.5 hours. 6. If not, call us.
