On the Viking 24-inch Combi Steam/Convect ovens VCSO244 and DCSO244 (2005 to 2010), such as the VCSO244SS and DCSO244SS, SEE MANUAL covers two situations. The water filter may be partly blocked, in which case you change it and descale. Or one of several errors has occurred. The steps are to press Off to cancel and unplug the oven for about a minute. If the message returns, write down the error number, switch the power off and call service.
1. Press Off to cancel. 2. Cut power at the plug for a moment, then restore it. 3. Change the water filter if it is old or dirty. 4. Descale the oven if it is due. 5. If the message returns, write down the number, switch power off at the breaker and call us.
Press Off, unplug the oven for a minute and plug it back in. Then check the filter and descale if due. Most filter-related cases clear this way.
If the message returns, the display may show an error number. Write it down exactly, switch the power off and give it to us with the model number.
If the message clears after the steps, you may continue. If it returns, switch off and call us. We quote in writing first, with a 30-day workmanship warranty.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
