Viking RDDB301 D3 Dishwasher Service
Viking sold the RDDB301 as a 24-inch D3 dishwasher, now retired, with an Energy Star listing, a heavy-duty Diamond-Brite stainless steel inner tank and wash arms, and a five-stage filtration system. The racks were sized for a full dinner party.
Most of the machines we see from this line are in kitchens where the dishwasher is run daily, so wear shows in the moving and sealing parts. A slow drain, a damp floor in front of the machine, or cloudy glasses are what bring the calls. We start with the filters and spray arms, move to the drain pump and hose, and then examine the door gasket and latch for leaks.
Because it is a retired model, we confirm part availability from the tag and quote in writing first.
Look for grit on glassware, a sour smell, or water that lingers in the tub. Remove the filter stages, rinse them under warm water, and refit them firmly.
A worn gasket, a loose latch or an overloaded lower rack can let water escape. We inspect the seal, test the latch, and run a cycle to find where the leak starts.
Often yes, because the stainless tank and racks outlast many of the parts inside. We tell you the repair price and part timing first so you can compare it with replacement.
