Our east-side route includes Old River-Winfree for Viking refrigerator, freezer, range, wall oven and ice machine repair. Reach us through the site or by phone to get a three-hour window.
Local housing, power events, water conditions, and installation styles all affect how we approach Viking diagnostics here.
Among the earliest settlers, arriving in 1827, was Robert Wiseman, and in the 1830s a Town of Archer existed on the spot. A Winfree post office handled mail from 1885 until 1919, and incorporation in 1979 came on the heels of the industrial boom near Mont Belvieu during the 1960s and 1970s.
Remodeled kitchens, old country homes and shops on larger lots all sit in the mix. Let us know where each Viking unit stands and how old the wiring is, so we can come prepared.
Neighborhood by neighborhood, water service differs. One example: in 2015 state regulators required a boil-water notice in the Woodland Acres subdivision, where worms had been found in the system.
Once such a notice is lifted, swap the refrigerator filter, empty the stored ice and put a Viking ice machine through its cleaning cycle. Should a fill problem remain, we begin with the inlet screen.
Elevation is only about 10 feet, and Old River and the Trinity are both nearby. Garages and utility rooms stay damp thanks to low ground and humid air.
Dampness is hard on freezers and refrigerators kept outside the house. Gaskets, drains and the condenser get inspected, and we note whether the floor is dry and the outlet suitable.
Our work spans fridges in remodeled kitchens and aging ranges in country houses. It also reaches freezers and spare refrigerators in shops and garages on bigger lots.
An older country kitchen needs its gas and 240V supply confirmed before a Viking range goes in. Both get checked, along with the cabinet opening, ahead of the visit.
Old River-Winfree is a short trip up from Mont Belvieu off I-10, and it sits on the east-side route we run. Country roads and long driveways are standard. Tell us how to spot the gate or turn-in, and include a data plate picture.
Small systems and wells make a house feel every supply interruption. When an outage or boil-water notice ends, open every faucet, next the refrigerator dispenser, and only afterward restart the ice machine or dishwasher. A lingering fill problem is often a clogged inlet screen, a quick cleaning for us, but weak flow across the whole house belongs to a plumber.
Throw out the stored ice, change the filter and run the cleaning cycle. If it keeps filling slowly, the inlet screen is where we look next.
It can. Moisture eats at the base and electrical parts, so lift the unit a little, give it room, and let us inspect it if it runs nonstop.
Name the gate, the turn-in and any landmark. The technician phones before arriving.
