Viking VUWC2441 Dual-Zone Cellar Repair
The VUWC2441 is a 24-inch dual-zone glass-door undercounter wine cellar, with independently controlled upper and lower compartments, digital temperature control and the TruProtect alarm system. Two zones allow whites and reds to be stored at different temperatures, so the test of a healthy cellar is that each compartment holds its own setting.
We repair a VUWC2441 by setting the two zones apart and measuring each with a thermometer over time. A zone that drifts leads us to its sensor, damper or fan. The alarm is tested against the actual condition it reports. We also clean the condenser and check the door seal. Pricing is given in writing before parts are ordered, and our work carries a 30-day warranty. We also check the leveling and the grille so the unit breathes properly in its opening.
Each zone has its own control path, so a sensor, damper or airflow problem can affect one while the other is fine. We test the zones separately and compare them with a thermometer.
It alerts you when the cellar is outside its safe condition, such as a door left open or temperature out of range. We test it against the real condition.
They share a cooling system, so a weak fan or dirty condenser affects both zones. We start with those parts, then move on to the sensor and damper for the zone that still disagrees.
