What E-08 means

On the Viking Incogneeto under-counter induction warmer VUIW518, E-08 is a zero cross failure. The unit could not detect the point where the AC supply crosses zero, which its electronics use for timing. The official steps are to turn the unit off and on, and to try an outlet on a different breaker. If it persists, service is required. A noisy or unstable supply is the first thing to rule out.
