Viking VESO5302 Wall Oven Service
The VESO5302 is a 30-inch single electric wall oven with a 4.7 cu ft cavity. Its Vari-Speed Dual Flow convection moves air at different speeds to even out baking, and it has a self-clean cycle, an infrared broiler, a 10-pass dual bake element and a built-in meat probe.
Self-clean cycles are the usual reason for service. After a high-heat cycle the lock may refuse to release, or the oven may start to read the wrong temperature as the sensor ages. We test the lock motor and the sensor against known values.
The meat probe has its own port, and the plug wears with every use. If readings look odd during probe cooking, we examine the jack separately from the main sensor. A convection fan that grows noisy is inspected at the motor, blade and housing. A written price is given before we start, and the repair carries 30 days of warranty.
The probe jack may be worn or dirty, or the probe itself may have an open wire. We test the probe with a meter and clean or replace the jack if it is damaged.
Noise usually means a worn bearing or a blade touching its housing. It is not an emergency, but a failing motor can stop mid-bake, so we inspect it soon.
We measure with a reference thermometer first. A small drift can be adjusted in the control, but a sensor that reads far off should be replaced.
