Viking VESO130 Select Oven Service
The VESO130 is a retired 30-inch Professional electric single oven, with a large cavity, a convection system and a self-cleaning cycle. It is the wider relative of the VESO127.
Uneven heating in a cavity this big usually points at the convection fan or at a bake element that has lost part of its output. We examine the fan’s blades for wobble, then measure the element. A torn seal lets heat roll out and distorts temperatures, so it is replaced before other work is judged. A lock that sticks after self-clean needs its motor and switch tested.
The hinges carry a heavy door and are checked for wear, and supply terminals are inspected for heat marks. Because the model is retired, we confirm parts before quoting. The price is written first, and the repair has a 30-day warranty.
A wobbling or slow convection fan, or a weak bake element, is typical. We test the fan's speed and the element's resistance. Both tests take only a few minutes.
A bent blade or a worn motor shaft causes it. We replace the blade or motor before the fan damages its housing. Replacing it early prevents scraping and a loud failure.
Look for splits or flat spots along the seal and feel for heat leaking from the door edge. We inspect it on every visit. A good seal should look plump and feel springy.
