Viking RDDOE306 D3 Oven Repair
The RDDOE306 is a retired 30-inch double oven in the Viking D3 series. We know its series and width but little else, so we rely on testing to learn what each cavity needs.
On a double oven, the first question is whether the problem lives in one cavity or both. If just the upper oven runs cool, its sensor, bake element and relay come under the meter. If both cavities act strangely at the same time, the shared control and the supply wiring are the likely culprits. A lower door that will not close tight points to a hinge or spring problem.
Locks stuck after cleaning are tested at the motor and switch. The oven is retired, so part availability is confirmed first. A written price comes before work, and a 30-day workmanship warranty covers our repair.
Its sensor, bake element or relay may be weak. We test each against known values and replace the weak part. Comparing the two cavities shows which part is weaker.
Hinge springs or latches wear under the door's weight. We replace them and check the gasket. A tight door also protects the gasket from early wear.
The shared control or supply wiring is suspect. We test the voltage at the terminals and the board's outputs. Intermittent behavior points us to loose terminals.
