Viking MVWD630 Virtuoso Drawer Service
The MVWD630 is a retired Virtuoso 30-inch warming drawer. Installed under a wall oven or in an island, it keeps dishes and food warm for service. If a warming drawer fails, the control may still light up, which can make it seem to work, so we measure real heat rather than relying on the display.
We service an MVWD630 by measuring the drawer temperature after a set time at the control setting. If it stays cool, we test the element, the thermostat and the safety limit. The slides are checked for roughness, the latch for hold and the cavity for spills. A written price comes before we order any part for this retired model, and a 30-day workmanship warranty covers the repair.
The control can have power while the element or thermostat has failed. We measure the element and test the thermostat to see which part is not working.
It has a safety limit, so overheating is rare. If it happens, we check the thermostat and the limit device, find the cause and fix it before the drawer is used again.
Usually, with cleaning and adjustment of the rollers and rails. Worn slides are replaced. We test the full drawer travel afterward, loaded with something heavy.
