Viking DUAR154 Slim Glass Service
The DUAR154 is a retired Designer 15-inch glass door beverage center. A narrow glass door shows condensation sooner than a wide one, and a small fan works hard in a cabinet this size. These units are common in bars and pantries, where the door opens often and the room can be warm.
We service a DUAR154 by testing the door seal, then the fan, condenser and thermostat. A foggy door tells us humid air is getting past the gasket, so we measure the gap and realign or replace as needed. The light is checked, and we listen to the fan under load. Parts are quoted in writing, and a 30-day workmanship warranty follows the work. A few minutes with the door shut afterward tells us whether the cabinet is chilling.
Humid room air enters past the seal and condenses on the cold glass. We check the gasket and the hinge so the door closes evenly.
Airflow may be blocked or the condenser may be dusty. We clean the coil, check the vents and test the thermostat to see what is holding the temperature up.
Usually yes, once we have tested the socket and the door switch. A new bulb in a bad socket would fail again, so we check first.
