Viking DFWD101 Panel Drawer Repair
The DFWD101 is a retired 30-inch custom panel warming drawer with the same features as the DEWD, but designed to take a locally supplied front panel that matches your cabinetry. The panel is an extra load on the slides, and over time it can pull the drawer out of square or make it close slowly.
For a DFWD101 we inspect the slides and drawer alignment with the panel on, since removal can hide a problem. We then check the latch and the heating, measuring the temperature inside. If the drawer is not heating evenly, we test the element and thermostat. The cabinet around it is checked for heat buildup. We quote in writing before parts, and the repair carries a 30-day workmanship warranty.
