Viking DESO130T Touch Oven Service
The DESO130T is the touch-control version of the retired 30-inch Designer single select oven. Its panel makes the face smooth and easy to wipe, but it also concentrates the electronics in one place.
A panel that needs several presses is often wearing out or has moisture beneath the glass. An oven that shuts off early could have a failing sensor, an opened thermal fuse or a board that is dropping out; we test them separately because the fix and the price are quite different for each. Noise during convection is traced to the fan bearing.
If the lock will not engage, the oven refuses to self-clean, and we test the lock motor and switch. Retired parts are confirmed before quoting. You get a written price, and a 30-day warranty comes with the work.
The touch layer may be worn or moisture may be under the glass. We test the panel's response and replace it if the zones are dead.
A sensor, a thermal fuse or the board could be the reason. We test the fuse and sensor before the board. The sensor is the cheapest and most common cause.
Yes, usually a worn bearing. The fan can seize, so we recommend replacing the motor before it fails mid-bake. Waiting for it to fail mid-bake costs a meal.
