Viking VEDO266 36-Inch Double Oven
The VEDO266 is a retired 36-inch Professional electric double oven. It is self-cleaning, bakes with two elements, has Maxi-Broil and Mini-Broil modes, and offers convection baking, broiling and TruConvec cooking. At 36 inches it is wider than most built-in doubles, so it often anchors a large kitchen wall.
Two broil modes mean the broiler has more than one section of element, and a break in a section shows up as an uneven glow or as a mode that will not start at all. We measure the element sections and the relays that switch them. Two-element baking depends on both the bake and the hidden element heating together; if either has weakened, baking turns pale or slow.
Fans, locks and hinges are inspected on both doors. Retired parts are confirmed before quoting, the price is in writing first, and a 30-day warranty follows the work.
Mini-Broil uses a smaller section of the broil element. If only that section or its relay has failed, Maxi-Broil may still work. We test each section and the relay.
Two elements share the heating, so a weak one leaves the oven pale or slow even though the other works. We measure both elements against their normal values.
The doors are heavier and the cavity is larger, but the diagnosis is the same. We pay extra attention to hinges and springs because of the weight.
