Viking VESO5271 Oven Service
The VESO5271 is a 27-inch single electric wall oven in the 5 Series, with TruConvec convection, a self-clean cycle and an infrared broiler. At 27 inches it fits older cutouts and tighter kitchens where a 30-inch oven will not.
Uneven baking is the complaint that sends many owners to us. Dead spots usually point to the convection fan, so we check the blade, the motor and the airflow path. Sensor trouble is the other big cause: the oven believes it is at temperature when it is not. We compare the sensor reading with a thermometer, and replace it if the gap is large.
After a self-clean, the door lock may stay engaged. We test the lock motor and latch switch, and inspect the hinges and seal. An infrared broiler that glows weakly is tested at the element. The price is written first, and a 30-day warranty applies to our work.
The convection fan may be slow, the blade may be damaged or the sensor may read wrong. We check the fan first, then compare the sensor with a reference thermometer.
Only if the cabinet cutout allows it. Repair is often the better choice when the opening is a 27-inch size, which is why we focus on fixing what you have.
We measure the element's resistance and watch it heat. A weak glow often means a failing element or a loose connection, and both are straightforward repairs.
