Fill too Fast Error is flash pattern 4-5 on Viking Professional VDB450 and RVDW324 built-in dishwashers with the second-generation control. The Pots/Pans light flashes four times and the Normal Wash light flashes five times. The control saw the water level rise faster than it should, which often points to a dishwasher that is not level, and it stops the cycle.
1. Make sure the dishwasher is level front to back and side to side; place a small level on the door edge or the tub rim when the door is open. 2. Hold START for four seconds to reset. 3. Run a cycle. 4. If 4-5 returns, call us and we will check the leveling and the inlet side.
If the dishwasher tilts, water collects at one end and the sensor sees the level rise too quickly. Correcting the level is the first thing to try, before anything else is replaced.
Then the inlet valve or the level sensing may be giving the wrong reading. We test both on site before recommending a part, and quote the price in writing.
If you can reach the front feet safely, small turns are fine. If the dishwasher is built into tight cabinets, we can do the leveling during the visit for you.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
