E:07 on current Viking VDWU and FDWU dishwashers in the 324, 524 and 724 series, including the WS versions, is a water inlet valve error. The inlet valve opens to let water into the tub, and when the control finds a problem with it, the E:07 icon appears. The dishwasher may not fill properly, or it may take in water when it should not.
1. Confirm the shut-off valve under the sink is open and the faucet has water. 2. Switch the dishwasher off at its breaker for a minute. 3. Start a short cycle and listen for water filling. 4. If E:07 returns, or water keeps running with the machine off, close the shut-off valve and call us.
E:02 means water is not available to the machine. E:07 points at the inlet valve itself, which can be the problem even when the house has plenty of water.
Close the shut-off valve under the sink and switch off the power. A valve that does not close can flood the tub and then the floor, so do not leave it running.
We do not recommend it. The valve connects to both water and power, and a small mistake causes leaks, so let us install and test it, with a 30-day warranty on the work.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
