On Viking EOC4 wall ovens with the TOD3 display, such as the Professional VESO127 and VEDO130, F21 means the display has detected a shorted key. One or more keys have been read as pressed for longer than one minute. The control reports it and the oven may ignore other presses or refuse to start. The official fix is to resolve the key problem or replace the TOD3 display.
1. Press OFF and give the oven time to cool down. 2. Wipe the control panel with a barely damp soft cloth, with no spray on the panel. 3. Make sure nothing leans on or touches the keys. 4. Turn the breaker off for a full minute, then restore power. 5. If F21 comes back on its own, call us.
The control thinks a button has been held down for over a minute. That can come from moisture or residue under the key, from something pressing on the panel, or from a display that has gone bad.
Yes, with the oven off and cool. Use a lightly damp soft cloth, never spray liquid on the panel, and dry it afterward. Do not pry at the keypad or remove the panel yourself.
Often the TOD3 display is the part to replace, but only after a test. We check the key circuit, give you a written price first, and cover the repair with a 30-day workmanship warranty.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
