Viking Designer Cooktop Code Fr: A Relay Error Stops All Heat

What Fr means

On Viking Designer DETU series touch-control radiant cooktops, Fr is a relay error. The control checks the relays that switch the heating elements, and Fr means that check failed. Heating stops across the cooktop, and the code appears on the timer display. A relay that sticks or fails to move is the usual cause, so the cooktop will stay off until it is repaired.
