Viking VRT7364G 7 Series Gas Rangetop
The VRT7364G is a current 7 Series gas rangetop, 36 inches wide, with Elevation burners, VariSimmer control, an easy-to-clean surface and CoolLit LED lights. It drops into a counter cutout, and the cabinet below normally holds the gas line and the ignition wiring.
On a current model the first calls usually come from daily kitchen life, not from age. A pot boils over, liquid slips beneath a burner cap, and the burner clicks without lighting until the electrode dries. A cap set slightly off its seat gives a lazy, lifting flame that people mistake for a gas problem.
We lift each cap, dry and clean the electrode, then watch every flame from high to low. If you ever catch a whiff of gas, get out of the house and call the gas utility from outside. The price is written before we begin, and our work is warranted for 30 days.
Moisture or a film on that burner's electrode stops the module from sensing a flame. Drying the area and cleaning the electrode usually ends the clicking, and we test the spark if it returns.
No, the LED lighting runs on its own circuit. A dark knob light is a cosmetic repair that does not touch gas flow or ignition, so cooking can continue while it waits for a replacement.
Let it cool, then use a soft cloth with warm soapy water, keeping liquid out of the burner bases. Lift and dry the caps afterward and seat them flat so the flame stays even.
Book in about a minute, or call the desk. Same-day windows inside the Loop on most days, next-day across the rest of Houston.
