Viking VGSU530 30-Inch Gas Cooktop
The VGSU530 is a 30-inch Ultra-Premium drop-in gas cooktop. It pairs a higher-output burner with standard ones, which makes it a good fit for kitchens that boil large pots but still need a quiet simmer on the other side.
The high-output burner is the first place to look when owners say it feels weaker. Grease sits in its larger ports, and the cap may be slightly off its seat after cleaning. We clean and reseat it, compare the flame to the others, and then look at the igniter and the supply. VariSimmer low settings can be unstable when the burner head is dirty, so we try those too.
We provide the quote first and a 30-day workmanship warranty afterward.
Newer cookware with a warped base can also make a flame look unbalanced, so we try a flat pan.
Dirty ports and a crooked cap are the usual reasons. If cleaning does not restore it, we check the orifice and the gas pressure at the cooktop to see whether supply is limiting it.
Same routine, but the large burner has bigger ports that collect more residue. Clean it more often if you cook with oil or boil large pots frequently.
Do not touch switches. Leave the house, call the gas utility from outside, and wait for clearance. Once it is safe, we can inspect the connections and valves.
Book in about a minute, or call the desk. Same-day windows inside the Loop on most days, next-day across the rest of Houston.
