Viking VGRT7366B Rangetop Service
The VGRT7366B is a 36-inch 7 Series gas rangetop with six Elevation sealed burners, brass flame ports in three sizes, SoftLit knob lighting and the SureSpark ignition system. It is installed in a counter cutout, usually above a separate wall oven.
Ignition is the first area to need care, and a burner that will not hold a simmer is the second. The SoftLit LED lights are cosmetic and have nothing to do with how the gas burns, so a dark knob never means a gas problem.
We test each burner’s spark and low flame, then clean what is blocked. A gas odor means everyone leaves and the gas utility gets a call from outside. The price is written first, and the work carries a 30-day warranty.
No, the light is cosmetic. The burner still works normally, and gas flow is unrelated to the LED, so the knob can be replaced separately whenever it is convenient for you.
A clogged port or a cap that does not sit flat is the usual cause. We clean the port, reseat the cap and then test the valve if the flame still drops out at its lowest setting.
It is the ignition system that sparks the burners when you turn a knob. If a burner clicks without lighting, we dry and clean the electrode first and then test the module and wiring.
