Viking VGIQ3002RT1 30-Inch Infrared Grill
The VGIQ3002RT1 is a retired 30-inch Ultra-Premium T-Series grill that combines open-flame burners with a TruSear infrared burner and a heavy-duty rotisserie. Three different cooking systems share one cart or enclosure, and we test them one at a time.
We begin with the open-flame burners: ports, venturi tubes and flame color. Next is the infrared zone, where we look at the ceramic for cracks and for drip residue and test its igniter. The rotisserie motor and plug come last, with a load test.
A compact 30-inch grill with this much hardware has little spare room, so heat and grease reach the wiring easily. We check the harness for damage and the shutoff for easy access. If gas is detected, close the supply and call the utility from outside. Part availability for this retired model is confirmed first, the price is written, and a 30-day warranty applies.
The other burners run on separate valves and igniters, so we test those first and then focus on the infrared burner's igniter, ceramic and air supply.
Both can operate, but heat near the motor shortens its life. We check the motor's condition and its heat shielding. A cooler position for the spit can help too.
Wait for it to cool, then use a soft brush. Do not scrape hard or use liquids that could soak in and crack it. Wiping with a damp cloth risks pushing moisture into the openings.
Book in about a minute, or call the desk. Same-day windows inside the Loop on most days, next-day across the rest of Houston.
