Viking VGBQ4122RE1 Side Burner Grill
The VGBQ4122RE1 is a retired 41-inch Ultra-Premium E-Series grill with side burners, in addition to its 29,000 BTU stainless steel main burners and heavy-duty rotisserie. The side burners take pots and pans while the main grates stay busy.
Side burners collect spills, so a no-light call on one often ends with a cleaned set of ports and a dried igniter. The main burners are checked separately, because their gas path and igniters differ. We test the rotisserie motor under load as well. With so many gas outlets on one grill, we test supply pressure with several burners on at once.
We leak-test every fitting we touch. If you smell gas, close the supply, leave the area and call the gas utility from outside. For retired models we verify parts first and give you a written price. The work has a 30-day warranty.
Spilled food in the ports or a damp igniter is the usual cause. We clean the burner, dry the electrode and check gas flow. Light it with the lid and nearby items clear for safety.
Yes, but the gas line must supply them all. We test pressure with several burners lit to make sure the line is large enough. A line that is too small starves the last burner lit.
No. The rotisserie is electric and independent of the burners, so we diagnose it separately. That means a stalled rotisserie never points to a gas issue, and a burner problem never affects the motor.
