Viking VGBQ13603 36-Inch Grill Service
The VGBQ13603 is the retired 36-inch member of Viking’s 100 Series, using the same 25,000 BTU stainless steel burners as the 30-inch model across a wider cooking surface. Like its sibling, it was meant for an enclosure or a stainless cart.
The extra width means more burners to keep clean, and cool spots on the grates are often the first sign of a blocked port. We map the problem: if it follows a single burner, that burner gets cleaned and tested; if it is across the grill, we measure the regulator and supply pressure. A grill that has been uncovered for years may also have corroded fittings, so we leak-test each connection with solution.
Should you smell gas, close the supply, leave the area and call the gas utility from outside. Parts for a retired grill can be slow, so we confirm availability and give a written price first. We back repairs with 30 days.
Either the ports are partly blocked or the flame is lifting from too much air. We clean the burner, adjust the air shutter and watch it at several heat settings.
It was made for a custom enclosure or a cart. In an enclosure it needs ventilation, and we can check clearances and the gas shutoff location.
We brush a soap solution on each joint and watch for bubbles. It takes a few minutes and is the only reliable way to find a slow leak.
Book in about a minute, or call the desk. Same-day windows inside the Loop on most days, next-day across the rest of Houston.
