Viking VGBQ13002 100 Series Grill
The VGBQ13002 is a retired 30-inch gas grill from Viking’s 100 Series, built with 25,000 BTU stainless steel burners. It was designed to be set into a custom enclosure or used on a portable stainless cart.
As an older grill, it tends to arrive with the same few complaints. Burners that no longer light are usually fouled ports or a dead igniter. A weak or uneven flame points to clogged ports, spider nests in the venturi or a tired regulator. We start by confirming the gas is off, cleaning the burners and then testing spark and flame on each position.
We check how much rust the burners and firebox have taken before deciding whether a repair makes sense. We quote in writing first and cover our work with a 30-day warranty. If you ever smell gas, shut off the supply and call the utility from outside.
A damp igniter, a fouled port or a failed spark module is typical. We test spark, clean the ports and confirm the gas flows before replacing anything.
If the firebox and frame are sound, replacing burners and igniters is far cheaper than a new grill. We assess rust first and give you a written price.
Too little air at the burner. Dust, insects or rust in the venturi restrict the mix, and we clean and adjust the air shutter. Check flame color after cleaning to confirm the mixture is right.
