Viking TVWH480 48-Inch Tuscany Hood
The TVWH480 is a discontinued 48-inch Tuscany wall hood, 18 inches high, from the decorative Tuscany special edition. Ornamental brass or bronze-toned accents dress a standard blower platform with interior power and baffle grease filters.
Under the decoration, we diagnose it as any wall hood. The blower, capacitor and speed control come first, then the duct, damper and cap. Overheat protection that trips on a hood this wide often shows a restricted duct. The ornamental parts need separate handling: trim that has loosened with age is a cosmetic repair, and accents that have dulled can often be cleaned without harsh abrasives.

It needs a duct that can pass the airflow the blower is rated for. A restricted duct causes overheating, so we inspect it. At 48 inches, duct size matters more.
