Viking DBCV36821 36-Inch Custom Ventilator
Retired and 36 inches wide, the DBCV36821 is a Designer built-in custom ventilator for a wall hood. As the larger sibling of the 30-inch DBCV30821, it moves more air and sits inside a wider custom shell.
A motor that hums with a still wheel has a failed capacitor or a seized bearing, and we test both. Weak suction is more often a blocked duct, a stuck damper or a greasy wheel than a dead motor, so we inspect the whole path. Flickering lamps trace to loose sockets or a driver that is failing. A rattle from the housing is usually a loose mounting screw or a wheel hitting the casing.
Access depends on how the custom hood was built, so we confirm that first. Parts for a retired ventilator are verified before quoting. You receive the price in writing, with a 30-day warranty on the repair.
A failed capacitor or a seized bearing. We test the capacitor and spin the wheel by hand, then replace the failed part. The capacitor is the less expensive of the two parts.
A blocked duct, a stuck damper or a greasy wheel. We inspect the whole path before replacing the motor. Cleaning the wheel can restore much of the airflow.
A loose mounting screw or a wheel rubbing the casing. We tighten the mounts and realign or replace the wheel. A rattle left alone can damage the casing.
