Viking VCWH54848 48-Inch Chimney Hood
The VCWH54848 is a current 48-inch Custom chimney wall hood, 18 inches high, with an interior power blower, multi-speed control and baffle grease filters. The exposed vertical flue gives it its look and also its most distinctive service issue.
A chimney that rattles at high speed usually has a loose bracket or a screw that has backed out, and tightening the mounting normally ends the noise. Beyond that, the blower motor, the speed control and the duct are checked the same way as on any wall hood. A long 48-inch hood moves a lot of air, so a restricted duct shows up quickly as overheat protection tripping.
