Viking RVIC3304B 30-Inch Induction
The RVIC3304B is a current 30-inch induction cooktop from the 3 Series. It has a Keep Warm setting and the Elemental Harmony feature, and it fits a standard 30-inch cutout.
An induction cooktop wants magnetic cookware, a clean glass top, and air beneath it. If one of those is missing, the cooktop either refuses to start or shuts off. We check the cookware first, then the cooling space beneath, then the control panel. Only after that do we open up zone testing and the power electronics. Prices are written before we order anything.
Because it is a current model, parts are available and repairs are usually completed quickly. We also verify the Keep Warm setting after any repair, so it holds a low heat without cycling off, and we leave you with a short list of what to keep clear under the cooktop. Cleaning the glass with a soft cloth after each use also protects the touch controls.
It still needs a magnetic pan, since all induction heating does. If Keep Warm will not start but normal heat does, we test the control board for that function.
Yes, the fan cools the electronics and may keep running after you turn the zones off. That is normal. If it is very loud, or silent while the unit is hot, call us and we will check it.
The glass itself does not get as hot as radiant tops, but heat from pans transfers into it. Impact and sugar spills cause damage, not induction itself, so wipe spills promptly and lift pans instead of sliding them.
