Viking VGRT560 60-Inch Custom Rangetop
At 60 inches the VGRT560 is a retired custom sealed burner rangetop big enough to cook a full multi-course meal at once, thanks to a griddle/simmer plate, a char-grill and plenty of burners. One of them is the TruPower Plus, rated at 18,500 BTU for the toughest jobs.
That much hardware means many parts aging together. The TruPower Plus burner works hardest, so its igniter and ports are the first to show wear. The griddle and char-grill collect grease faster than the sealed burners, and the burners nearest them take the fallout.
We service each section separately and record what we find. Should gas be smelled, leave the house and call the gas utility from outside. The written price comes first, and the repair has a 30-day warranty.
It runs the most gas and the most heat, so its igniter and ports wear first. We clean the ports, test the spark strength and replace the igniter only if it tests weak.
Drips can run along the surface and under caps, and the raised edges only partly contain them. We clean under and around the caps whenever the griddle is serviced.
Clear the cabinet beneath it, since we reach the gas line and wiring from below. The rangetop itself usually stays in place. A cleared floor in front of the rangetop also helps us work safely around the gas fittings.
Book in about a minute, or call the desk. Same-day windows inside the Loop on most days, next-day across the rest of Houston.
