The VERT53044B is a current 5 Series electric rangetop, 30 inches wide, with QuickCook elements, an 800-watt bridge element and SoftLit LED lights. Because it is a newer model, most of the ones we see are within their first years of use and still in the original cutout.
At this age, problems are more often installation or connection related than wear. A terminal that was tightened a little too gently can heat and discolor, and a switch can fail early. The LED lights are cosmetic, so we separate them from the heating side when diagnosing.
