Viking Designer Cooktop Code FA: Key Error Shuts Off the Elements

What FA means

On Viking Designer DETU series touch-control radiant cooktops, the timer display shows F plus a letter when the control finds a problem. FA is a key error, so the control stops all heating elements and shows the code. A touch key may be stuck, or a key circuit may be reporting wrongly. Capital and small letters mean different things on this cooktop, so note exactly which one you see.
