Viking VGRO3200 Gas Oven Tower
The VGRO3200 is a retired 32-inch tower that puts refrigeration and a gas oven in one stainless steel cabinet, built for an outdoor kitchen. Chilled ingredients and a baking oven in a single stack save trips indoors, but they also mean two independent systems exposed to weather.
For the refrigerator section, we vacuum the condenser, check the fan and inspect the door seal; outdoor dust and pollen choke the coil quickly, and a warm box usually starts there. For the oven, we test the igniter, the safety valve and the thermostat, and look at the burner ports for debris and insects.
Cabinet corrosion deserves a look as well, particularly at the base where water collects. Gas smell means closing the supply and calling the utility from outside. Parts for a retired tower are confirmed before we quote, the price is written, and the work carries a 30-day warranty.
Outdoor towers collect pollen and dust on the condenser, and a warm cabinet starts there. We clean the coil, test the fan and check the door seal before suspecting the sealed system.
The igniter may have weakened, the safety valve may not open or insects may have blocked the burner. We test each of them in order and describe the cost before replacing anything.
Usually yes. We diagnose each section separately because they are independent systems, then give a single written estimate that itemizes the oven and the refrigerator.
