Viking VGIQ5304RT1 53-Inch Premium Grill
The VGIQ5304RT1 is a retired 53-inch Ultra-Premium outdoor grill with a TruSear infrared burner and a heavy-duty rotisserie. As a retired grill, its hoses, wiring and fittings are the first suspects.
Our visit follows the gas from the shutoff to the flame. The hose and regulator are examined for cracks and age, joints are soaped, and burners are removed and cleaned. An infrared burner that will not stay lit raises questions about the flame sensing circuit and the air supply, so we test those next. Uneven heat across 53 inches is often a manifold problem, which we trace joint by joint.
A jammed rotisserie usually has a bent spit or seized bearing. We confirm parts for the retired grill before quoting, put the price in writing and back the repair with 30 days. A gas smell means shutting off the supply and calling the utility from outside.
Often the flame sensing circuit does not detect the flame, or the burner is starved of air. We clean the sensor, check its position and inspect the air path.
Not if it shows cracks, stiffness or soft spots. Replace it at once; the part is inexpensive compared with the risk of a leak. We carry hose in common sizes and can often replace it the same day.
A bent spit, a seized bearing or a gear tooth chipped by overload. We find which one and repair it. Overloading the spit with an off-center roast is a common trigger.
