Viking VGBQ4122RE2 Side Burner Service
The VGBQ4122RE2 is a second retired 41-inch E-Series grill with side burners, 29,000 BTU stainless steel main burners and a heavy-duty rotisserie. The two numbers are close relatives, and we match parts to the data plate on yours.
With side burners, the gas manifold feeds more outlets than a plain grill, so slow leaks and pressure drops show up more readily. We soap-test fittings, measure pressure under load and compare the side burners with the main ones. A noisy rotisserie motor often just needs cleaning and fresh lubrication, but if the gears are worn, we replace the motor.
Should a gas odor ever reach you, turn off the supply, step away and phone the gas utility from outside. Since the model is retired, we confirm part availability, then give you a written price. Our work comes with a 30-day workmanship warranty.
Spills often block the ports, and a partly closed valve can also reduce flow. We clean the burner and compare its flame with the main burners.
Dry bearings, worn gears or a bent spit. We clean, lubricate and test it, and replace the motor if the gears are damaged. Noise that grows over time is worth checking early.
They are supplied from the same gas line. We check that the line can feed all burners together. If they all weaken together, the supply line or regulator is the first thing we measure, not the burners themselves.
