Viking VGBQ3002RT2 T-Series Service
The VGBQ3002RT2 is the second retired 30-inch Ultra-Premium T-Series gas grill in this family. There is not much published detail on it, so we keep our description to what is certain: a 30-inch gas grill that has been out of production for some time.
Age shows up in wiring, hoses and igniters before it shows in the stainless body. We inspect the igniter wiring for corrosion, flex the hose to look for cracks and test the regulator under load. If a burner is weak, we clean its ports and the venturi tube and watch the flame again at low and high settings.
Grease flare-ups come from buildup on the burner covers and the tray, so we clean those areas too. If you smell gas at any time, close the supply and call the gas utility from outside. Parts for retired grills take longer, so we confirm availability and quote in writing. Work is warranted 30 days.
The spark is reaching the wrong place or gas is not arriving. We check the electrode gap, the wiring and the gas flow to the burner.
Usually grease is the cause. Clean the covers and tray, and if flames still jump high, we check the flame pattern and the burner mixture.
Stop using the grill and shut off the gas. A cracked hose is a leak risk, and replacing it is a simple, inexpensive repair we complete the same day when we have it.
Book in about a minute, or call the desk. Same-day windows inside the Loop on most days, next-day across the rest of Houston.
