Viking VQGFS5421 Cart Grill Service
The VQGFS5421 is the mid-width freestanding grill in the 5 Series Q cart family, 42 inches wide with a storage cabinet below. It has the same cart format as its 30-inch and 54-inch relatives, so the checks follow the same order, starting with whether the problem sits in one burner or in the whole grill.
For one weak burner, we clean its ports and venturi. For all of them, we turn to the regulator, hose and tank valve. A yellow flame tells us the air mix is off, and we correct it at the air shutter. We also look at the cart itself: wheels that bind or a frame that rocks can tip grease and change how the burners behave.
If you notice a gas smell, close the supply and call the gas utility from outside. We give a written price before starting and a 30-day warranty on our work.
Blocked ports or a restricted venturi are the usual cause. We clean both and compare the flame with the neighboring burners. A bit of debris here changes the whole flame shape.
Make sure the tank has gas and the valve is fully open. If the flame is still missing, the regulator may have tripped, and we can reset and test it.
A cover keeps rain and pollen off the igniters and grates. Let the grill cool completely first, since a cover on hot metal traps moisture and speeds rust.
