The VIH36081 is a retired 36-inch island hood, made to hang over a 36-inch range or cooktop on an island. At this size it suits a compact island, where the hood and the ceiling above it are in plain view from the whole kitchen.
Island hoods run in open air, so they depend on a clean blower and filters more than wall hoods do.
