The VCWH56048 is a current 60-inch 5 Series chimney wall hood, 18 inches high. It offers heat lamps, dimmable lighting controls with long-life LED bulbs, and a heat sensor that boosts ventilator power when temperatures reach uncomfortable levels. The heat lamp bulbs must be purchased locally.
At 60 inches it spans a large cooking area, and its low 18-inch body keeps the view open. During service we check the sensor response, the dimmer, the LED lamps and the heat lamps, then the filters, the blower wheel and the motor. A wide, short hood relies on a clear damper, so we confirm it opens fully and does not flutter.
