Viking TVHW6630 Wide Tuscany Hood
At 66 inches wide, the TVHW6630 is among the widest Tuscany wall hoods, and at 30 inches high it is the lowest of its width. It is a current model, found above a large range or a range with an added griddle in a kitchen planned around a big cooking wall.
With that much canopy, grease is the first thing to check, because it collects unevenly across a wide set of filters. We pull and clean every filter, then inspect the blower wheel and the motor mounts, and run the hood through each speed. The touch controls, the LED lights and the damper in the duct all get tested, and we listen for any change in sound between the left and right sides.
A written price is given before the work starts, and we back the repair with a 30-day workmanship warranty.
Filters at that end may be more clogged, or the blower may be drawing unevenly. We clean all the filters and check the wheel before looking at the ductwork.
That depends on the design, so we count and inspect each one on site. Any bent or sagging filter is straightened or replaced so air cannot bypass it.
Not harder, but heavier. We work with a second person when the canopy must be supported, and we protect the range below. The extra width also means more filters to clean, so the visit takes a little longer.
