Viking MVIDC6364B Downdraft Cooktop
The MVIDC6364B is a 36-inch Panorama downdraft cooktop, which combines induction elements with integrated downdraft ventilation. It is a current model, and it is usually installed in an island or peninsula where an overhead hood would be in the way.
Two systems need attention: the induction cooktop and the downdraft. For the cooktop we check cookware, element response, pan detection and the touch controls. For the downdraft we inspect the filters and the blower, which sits below the counter, and test the ducting. The power management with Double Boost depends on a healthy supply, so we also look at the electrical connection. A last step is running the cooktop and the downdraft together, since they share the same control.
You receive a written price before work, and our repair has a 30-day workmanship warranty.
Induction needs a magnetic pan of the right size. If a known good pan is still not detected, we test the element, the sensor and the board.
The controls are integrated into the unit, so we test both at the same time. A failing control can affect either system. Because the controls are shared, a fix often resolves both issues.
It is the power management feature listed for this cooktop. If it seems to shut elements off early, we check the supply and cooling airflow first.
