On the Viking VHSO205 high speed convection oven, such as the VHSO205SS, ERROR appears when the oven cannot accept an entry. That includes an invalid clock entry and amounts or weights outside the allowed range, for example entries above 100 or 84. The oven stops and shows the message until you clear it. It is a programming message about what was typed, not a sign that the oven has broken.
1. Press STOP/CLEAR to remove the message. 2. Re-enter the time or weight slowly and check each digit on the display. 3. Stay inside the limits for the program you are using. 4. If the clock is wrong, set it again from the start. 5. If correct entries are still rejected, call us.
No. It means the last entry was not acceptable to the oven. Clear it and enter valid numbers, and the oven carries on exactly as it did before the message.
Entries above the allowed maximum, such as values over 100 or 84 in some programs, are refused. Use a smaller number or cook by time instead.
If valid entries keep producing ERROR, or the keypad will not respond after unplugging the oven for a minute, call us. We quote in writing before work and give a 30-day workmanship warranty.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
